Whey protein is a collection of spherical proteins isolated from whey. The protein of cow’s milk is 20% whey protein and 80% casein protein,and the amino acid cysteine of whey protein is a substrate for the synthesis of glutathione in the body, which is a ubiquitous cellular antioxidant;laboratory experiments suggest that whey protein and its components can reduce the risk of cancer in animals , giving way to future medical research.
