Skoda unveils mid-size SUV Kushaq globally

On Thursday the Czech car manufacturer Skoda presented its all-new Kushaq SUVs globally, taking on the likes of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in the rapidly growing mid-sized domestic SUV segment. The model is the first production car in the Indian 2.0 project of the company. Skoda Auto’s Volkswagen Group invests EUR 1 billion in the Indian subcontinent model campaign to strengthen its presence. For Skoda and Volkswagen, today is a very special day. “With Skoda Kushaq’s world premiere, we are launching our model campaign on the Indian market and we are fulfilling the Volkswagen Group mandate and asked to take responsibility for the Indian market about two and half years ago” said Skoda CEO Thomas schafer.

The firm now focuses on a smooth launch of the market and the successful launch of a new model while setting the way for the next steps on the Indian subcontinent. According to Gurpratap  Boparai, managing director of Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt , the latest addition to the Skoda SUV family has been an insightful combination of designs, efficiency, quality building and value, safety and smart solutions.

There are also two modern infotainment systems available in the model that enable the integration of smartphones with Smart Link technology. The SUV measures 4,221 mm in length and 1,760 mm in width at 1,612 mm in height. Its long 2,651 mm wheelbase, one of the longest in the segment, and 188 mm ground clearance.
