The king of the SUV is the Creta, but the SUV is fairly sought after by other cabins. The most recent rival of Safari is the MG Hector Plus, whereas it is the MG Hector for the Harrier. This competition is based on the size and presence of SUVs. The March 2021 sales data are released, showing that sales of the MG and Hector Plus are more than those of the Tata SUVs. The combined sales for Harrier and Safari in March 2021 amounted to 4,432 and 3,737 units in February 2021. The combined sales were 4,720 for March 2021, while 3,662 for February 2021, Said Rajeev Chaba, Managing Director of MG Motor.
This indicates that MG Motor leads by 288 units in March, in terms of sales. But, the Tata Motors sold only 75 units in February. Both SUVs have shown growth, however. The SUVs of Tata showed an increase of 18.60% while the SUVs of the MG showed a growth of 28.89%. The Hector and Hector Plus facelift was launched by MG Motor. Also, there are 18-inch double-ton alloy wheels that improve the position of the SUV, by better filling the tanks. There is also a new colour available with the Hector known as Starry Sky Blue. The interior also gets a dual-tone theme now. The Hector Plus now gets dual-tone exterior colours also. In both SUVs, MG Motor also added certain features.
