Mamaearth, a personal care brand, which is being run by Honasa Consumer Pvt Ltd (HCPL) has achieved an annualized revenue run rate of Rs. 500 crores and the company is planning to double the revenue run rate in upcoming years. The company needs more people to achieve its objectives, 300 people are already in the team, and additional of 200 people will be added to achieve the company’s goal.
Honasa Consumer co-founder and CEO, Varun Alagh said “So right now we are about 300 people and by this end of this year, we will be at about 500 people. Of these, 100 people will be a part of offline retail team and others will spread over other functions- growth team, D2C team, customer service, marketing team and others”.
Within 4 years, the company has reached to the desired milestone of 500 crores revenue run rate and is now planning to achieve next milestone that is of 1000 crores. The main focus is to expand the offline market, bringing up new products, segregating and launching new brands. The company focuses only on natural ingredients which keeps a step ahead from its competitors. The company is planning to see a huge growth in next three years and is expecting to grow its business in international platforms.
Offline sales only add 20% to the revenue while it is expected to have a 35% of sales revenue by the end of the year 2021.
