The most awaited cricket league Auction named Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is all set to commence from 18th February in Chennai. It is a mini auction under which 292 players are selected and out of which maximum 61 players can be recruited by different eight Franchises in Participation. This covers three teams, Chennai Super Kings, Kings XI Punjab, Mumbai Indians and see what they want to change in their team members, whether they want to add any new member or want to replace a member. All decisions regarding the auction are to be taken today. In this auction all teams will show their budget and make additions and replacements in the team.
In Chennai Super Kings (CSK), there are 19 players and their budget is for about Rs. 19.9 crores. The team’s retained Players are MS Dhoni, KM Asif, Deepak Chahar, Dwayne Bravo, Faf du Plessis, Imran Tahir, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, Sam curran, Josh Hazlewood, R Sai Kishore with another eight players. CSK released these six players to lead up the auction. They have a budget of Rs.19.9 crore with which they can buy maximum six players. CSK is also planning to pick one oversea player. CSK wants a backup opener for Murali Vijay and spinners for the slow Wickets in India. Their most possible Pickups are Karun Nair, Mohammed Azharuddin and Steve Smith as Batsman, Moises Henriques and Shivam Dube as, all-rounders and Umesh Yadav and Krishnappa Gowtham as Bowlers.
The Mumbai Indians Team is five times defending IPL champion who is having a complete squad of 19 players and they have a quite good budget of Rs.15.35 crores with them. Rohit Sharma, Quinton de Kock, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Rahul chahar are main retained players with another 14 players. They can only afford one time buy with their Budget. In Mumbai Indians Team, 4 overseas slots are available.
Another Team is Kings XI Punjab, which is led by KL Rahul. Kings XI Punjab has a big budget of Rs.53.2 crores. They retained KL rahul, Chris Gayle, and Mohammad Shami with another 13 Players. Their main Possible pick-ups are Dawid Malan as Batsmen, Moises Henriques, Shakib Al Hasan and Tom Curran as all-rounders and Prithviraj Yarra, Jalaj Sexena, Piyush Chawla and Jhye Richardson as Main bowlers.
