One of India’s most popular online payment applications, Google Pay (GPay) announced that it has reached 850 million transactions per month. Ambarish Kenghe, Vice President stated that google pay is making changes to make sure that users can manage their data and privacy with more control. They will also be able to delete transaction records and receive more personalized offers and rewards. These options will be available on google play starting next week and will provide every user with more controls to decide how their Google Pay activity can be used to personalize features within the app. Users will be given the option to turn the control on and off and it will be dependent on them how they would like to personalize.
This new feature of google pay will provide a tailored experience to the users and will allow the user to manage their transactions within google pay. Apart from these, google pay will award different rewards and provide a facility to delete the transaction done previously. There is no force for users to use this feature and one can opt-out of the feature anytime he or she wants. Google Pay users will also get the chance to manage their transactions and activity within the app. Google pay also prevents selling the information of their users to third-party services and gives full privacy to the users. This initiative has been taken to prevent the frauds and cybercrime happening these days says the Google official.
