The laser controller consists of a constant current source coupled with a TEC temperature controller. It includes an integrated low-noise current source for laser biasing and an integrated bipolar current source for the Peltier cooler that controls the laser temperature. The laser diode controller consists of an integrated bipolar current source to control the temperature of the laser and a very stable DC constant current source that biases the combined semiconductor laser. The two functions are combined into one instrument.
