EMotorad to Launch Cosmos Heavy-Duty Electric Cycle for Delivery Segment By Mid-2021

Emotorad will be soon launching a heavy-duty electric cycle- Cosmos- for last mile delivery in India. It will launch in India in the next three months, an official said. Emotorad is a Pune based electric vehicle startup, which is going to launch this vehicle for the delivery segment, so that the heavy work can also be done using it, which will save the environment too. The Emotorad Cosmos, Christened, which is a new electric cycle to be launched in the next three months in India, Company plans to introduce it as a replacement for the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) two wheelers which have been used by a majority of delivery agents in India. The company official gave a sentence that the new electric vehicle will be more cost effective and will help the owner cover a distance of 70Km in just Rs 6.

 

The Co-founder and the CEO of EMotorad, Kunal Gupta said that India is a huge delivery market now and have been involved with, in this company, all the delivery companies right from Amazon, Flipkart, Swiggy, Zomato with which they have worked previously.  Also, Emotorad had a huge experience in terms of providing ICE delivery bikes to these companies. Once company introduce it (Cosmos) that is one model which is going to blast big time because an average delivery boy spends around ₹ 200 a day on fuel, in which he travels almost 70 km but cosmos is giving him is an option to travel 70 km in just ₹ 6.

 

This new electric vehicle is built in a steel frame and comes with a 6-unit suspension setup, which has the dual front forks, under seat suspension and four spring loaded shock absorbers at the rear. This vehicle can carry a load of up to 200Kg and a total weight capacity of 250Kg. It also has a front basket, an adjustable rear rack and a wide floorboard which can also be modified to carry a pillion and is likely to get an optional backrest. The Current production setup for cosmos is in Pune and the company is still working to set up a second production line specifically for the cosmos ebike.
