Asus AIO V241EA Review: The All-In-One Pc

With the availability of low-cost laptops and tablets, the demand for low-end PCs and all-in-one PCs is dwindling. While there are a few potential AIO PCs, they remain in a gray area where they are not as portable as a laptop nor as powerful as a desktop PC. Asus has released a new line of AIO computers that are powered by Intel’s 11th generation processor.

Asus AIO V241EA Specifications:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-1135G7
  • Display: 23.8-inch IPS FHD 1920×1080, 60Hz
  • GPU: Intel Iris Xe
  • Memory: 8GB DDR4
  • Storage: 256GB PCI-E SSD + 1TB HDD
  • OS: Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit

The Asus AIO V241EA resembles the Apple iMac. However, this device outperforms the iMac in terms of industrial design, as it has much thinner bezels on three sides compared to Apple’s offering. When it comes to building quality, the AIO is made of plastic with a metallic stand, which gives this product a solid foundation. The device is available in two colors, one with a white finish and a silver stand and another with a black finish and a gold stand, and both look classy and should compliment most homes. The entire I/O is located in the back, including four USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, an HDMI 1.4 (in and out) port, and an RJ45 port. A single USB 2.0 port and a 3.5mm headphone jack are located on the right side.

The Asus AIO V241EA features a 23.8-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD (1980 x 1080p) resolution and a matte finish. The monitor has a 178-degree viewing angle and 100 percent sRGB color space, with small 2mm bezels on three sides. The monitor is bright enough for moderate use, such as working on an office assignment or binge-watching a new Netflix or Prime Video sequence. The monitor has an 88 percent screen-to-body ratio, and the widescreen aids usability by enabling users to open multiple apps or applications at the same time without sacrificing app size.

The Asus AIO V241EA has a single 720p HD camera on the bottom bezel, and I found it to be slightly off-angle, especially when attending video conferences. However, when it comes to detailing or image clarity, the camera performs admirably, just like almost any other device with a 720p camera. The Intel Core i5-1135G7 11th Gen processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics powers the Asus AIO V241EA. Our review unit came with 8GB of RAM and a dual-storage solution that included a 256GB SSD and a 1TB hard drive.

The Intel Core i5-1135G7 is a quad-core, eight-thread processor with a 4.2GHz boost CPU clock speed and a 2.4GHz base clock speed, and an 8MB smart cache. Since this processor is commonly used in laptops and ultra books, you can expect comparable performance from the Asus AIO V241EA. The Asus AIO V241EA costs Rs. 61,900, which is comparable to laptops with comparable specifications, making it an excellent home computer. Even if you are looking for a basic desktop, the Asus AIO V241EA or the much cheaper Asus AIO V222 costs just over Rs. 25,990 and has identical features to the Asus AIO V241EA, except for the processor and slightly smaller screen size, which is a viable option.

Overall, the Asus AIO V241EA is a fantastic computing platform for a family that looks amazing and performs admirably. Even if you live alone, the Asus AIO V241EA functions well and can serve as a monitor for your console, a replacement for your television, and your primary or secondary device.
