Coca-Cola Plans to Launch Paper Bottles to Prevent Plastic Pollution.

Popular soft drink brand Coco-Cola has taken a vital pace towards keeping the environment pollution free. The company will be reducing plastic pollution by replacing their plastic bottles with paper bottles. The first testing of these innovative bottles will be in Hungary, Europe, before launching it out in other countries. The Company Coca-Cola is targeting to reach the goal of having zero waste generation by the year 2030.  The company has been collaborating with a Danish Startup (Poboco), the paper bottle company for the accompaniment of this major step. Coca-Cola is working towards a target for creating a plastic-free bottle that will be capable enough to stop the prevention of gas escaping from carbonated drinks. Besides, it has recently released its first video of the prototype for the bottle. The paper bottles are being made out of a single piece of paper-fiber-based material, the porous paper with a fine lining of plastic underneath that will put a stop to get soaking the carbonated-drink and provide strength for holding. The bottle will be 100 percent recyclable after one use.

As per the annual survey report by charity “Break Free From Plastic”, Coca-cola along with Pepsi Co and Nestle brands were on the top in the category of plastic polluters. The company’s plastic waste was found nearby beaches, oceans, and roads, that put a stain on their brand value.

This major initiative taken by Coca-Cola is seen as a salutation step to get clear from the pollution caused by the packing of their products. As per a tweet by Coca-Cola, the company will carry on with supplying viable packaging solutions across the globe. Their paper bottle prototype will be an exciting model of innovation and partnership work towards the goal of” World without Waste”.
